Volunteer Opportunities

    Have You Been Thinking About Volunteering?

    There is no better way to GIVE BACK than to give back to your profession! Did you know there are over 550 SHRM chapters across our great nation that are run almost completely by volunteers?  SHRM Northstate needs a continuous stream of volunteers for a successful future. If you love being involved and getting things accomplished, in addition to expanding your network and contributing to non-profit organization with an amazing team, let's talk.

    BOARD OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
    • Marketing/Communications -- We need someone to coordinate marketing and communication efforts for the chapter -- for our monthly programs, SHRM promotions, and HR Summit. This is a bigger job and maybe we have 2 people? One creating graphics, one creating messages? Or one for chapter programs, and one for other promotions. 
    • Social Media Coordinator - We need someone who is good at social media to be sure our messages are getting seen on all of the applicable social media platforms and advise where we need to be. If you love posting, sharing, liking (lol) we want you! 
    • Diversity/Inclusion Director - We need someone who is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion to help us in our efforts to support and promote this within our chapter and our community. 
    COMMITTEE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
    • Membership Committee Members - Help us help you! We need volunteers to various membership type duties - welcome new members, touch base with members we haven't seen, help us with our 'at-large' members, 
    • Program Committee Members - Are you interested in helping us plan out our chapter programs each year? Get involved and help find good topics and amazing speakers. 
    • HR Summit Committee Members - We always love help and ideas for our Annual HR Summit that is held each year in October. Let us know if you are interested. 
    • Marketing - Graphics - Social Media Committee Members -- Do you have graphic skills? Do you love marketing? What about socia media?  Sign up to help us!

    Come and visit our monthly meetings and make yourself known!  You can also attend any of our monthly board meetings held the second Thursday each month from 8:30 am – 9:30 am.  Contact us for the current meeting location and to share your interest in making a difference!
